Painting has given me the opportunity to travel to places far beyond my expectations. It is a thrill to capture on canvas with my paint brush the beautiful scenery I experience! I think it is the best job in the world!!

friend Jeannette, there was never any traffic on this road....but after
several hours of logging trucks and construction trucks, I had eaten
enough dirt to last a lifetime!! But it was just the
"right" spot for the scene I wanted to paint... |

You never know what can happen "on location". On this day, a gust of wind came up and my wet painting fell face down in the gravel. Added a lot of nice texture to the paint!! |

Sometimes it's a bit of an effort to get me to just the right place and I'm very lucky to have good friends to help me out. I had never seen the Wetlands near Golden and it took a ride on an ATV, then I had to be carried over the train tracks, then down a long stepped ramp, and out onto the floating dock on the water. It was so worth the effort & I am so inspired!!! What a sight! Paintings of the wetlands will be coming down the pipeline soon.... Photo is with friends Lynda & Moe. |
