-A DAY IN MY LIFE-

Painting has given me the opportunity to travel to places far beyond my expectations.  It is a thrill to capture on canvas with my paint brush the beautiful scenery I experience!  I think it is the best job in the world!!

First time working on location,
Spring 1995,
Keoma, Alberta

 Lake O'hara, Yoho National Park
Takes my breathe away!!

Meachen Creek,
British Columbia
Luckily no bears....

Breaton Lake, Manitoba

Lots of family memories in this place....

Painting in the windy prairies,
can be a challenge.

Bull River, British Columbia

According to my friend Jeannette, there was never any traffic on this road....but after several hours of logging trucks and construction trucks, I had eaten enough dirt to last a lifetime!!  But it was just the "right" spot for the scene I wanted to paint...

Rathtrevor Beach, Vancouver Island, British Columbia

Literally painting "in the bush".

With my mentor Keith & friend Walter

Qualicum, Vancouver Island, British Columbia

This was a great trip, as I stayed at French Creek Marina.  It was awesome to watch the tide come in and out daily!

East & West Kootenays, British Columbia

Painting at White Boar Lake.  It was an "interesting" hike in there, but so worth it!

One of my favorite painting locations,
Kootenay Lake

Lost Dog, British Columbia

You never know what can happen "on location".  On this day, a gust of wind came up and my wet painting fell face down in the gravel.  Added a lot of nice texture to the paint!!

Kimberley, British Columbia

Painting in style on the tee box of the signature hole at the Kimberley Golf Course.   Luckily no flying golf balls hit me...but I did get a lot of strange looks from the golfers!

Fort Steele, British Columbia

Painting on a field trip with the Grade 6 & 7 class from
Steeples Elementary.  Too much fun!!
June 2002

Switzerland

An inspirational trip of a lifetime.
Lake of Lucern with friends.

Throughout my art career, I have had the opportunity to meet many people who have helped me and supported me along the way.  Thank you!

Exhibitions

My first solo exhibition took place in Janicke Routs art studio in Calgary, June 1998.

My second solo exhibition took place in Kimberley at the Gilded Goat, owned by Robin & Paul Dixon, September, 2002.  This was one of the few paintings that I had difficulty saying goodbye to,  but it has a really good home now!

Variety Show of Hearts Telethons 2000 & 2001
Vancouver, British Columbia

I feel fortunate to have been involved with such a wonderful organization and it was inspiring to meet so many  people who give generously of their time and energy, including Jim Byrnes!

Television interview at the Variety Club Show of Heart's Telethon with the painting I donated to raise funds for British Columbia's special needs kids.

Lethbridge Collegiate Institute,
Lethbridge, Alberta

In 2005, I was honoured by my high school, with the LCI Wall of Distinction Award.

With my high school teacher, Mr. Brack, one of my biggest supporters, in front of the Wall of Distinction.
