HISTORIC ARTISTS & GALLERIES

The Vincent van Gogh Gallery
This is the most comprehensive collection of Van Gogh's works and letters on the Internet.

The Bloomsbury Group
Many people have never heard of the eccentric Bloomsbury Group from England.  I would highly recommend checking out their work.

Louvre Museum Official Website
Until I manage to see the Louvre in person, it's great to be able to take a virtual tour of this magnificent collection.
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection
This site offers you many of the paintings by the Group of Seven exhibited at the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg, Ontario. This gallery offers the largest collection of Group of Seven paintings in Canada. If you are ever in the Toronto area, I would highly recommend a visit in person to this great museum.

The Vancouver Art Gallery
This is one of my favorite art galleries, as it has a huge collection of Emily Carr works.

Emily Carr at Home and at Work
This is one of the most comprehensive websites on Emily Carr.

The Glenbow Museum
This museum is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and has the largest collection of Carl Rungius paintings & drawings.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art
New York....no need to comment on this one!

The Museum of Modern Art
New York

The Web Gallery of Art
This internet gallery shows reproductions of paintings and sculptures from all over Europe.  An excellent resource for art history. There are also biographies on the artists and commentary on the works.
